Swim Across America Nantucket, July 27

Dear Friends and Supporters,

On Saturday I’m swimming 2 miles with my friend in Swim Across America and I’m going to frank with you, because I’ve got 3 days to raise $1300 more dollars.

The fact that we have a cancer program at all on this tiny island is remarkable and largely due to the continued efforts of Swim Across America. Over the past seven year, I've had the privilege to witness from the sidelines as the number of patients and treatments has steadily increased at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Your support of Swim Across America has supported that growth and provided people in our local community with the ability to undergo treatments closer to their home and loved ones on island.

  • At this year’s event, the Lavender Farm Wellness team will be giving free massage to the swimmers. It's a fun way to engage our mission of fostering an island culture of health and wellness.

  • Also worth sharing is that at Lavender Farm Wellness, we provide local oncology patients and their caregivers with free services. A massage may not cure their condition, but it provides a ease and improves their quality of their life during a challenging chapter of their life.

Please, if you can give a little, give a little. Or, if you can give a lot, then give a lot. The giving is the most important part, it’s important that we are all contributing to health and wellness of our island community. This is a great opportunity to have a real and powerful impact on the quality of care for those in our community battling cancer.

Gratitude is my Attitude and Love is my Way,

Brandon
