Starting May 1st your Functional Medicine Practitioner Ugne Aleknaite NP and Health Coach Marcie Desmond will be hosting a 3-week Spring Cleanse. What is Spring cleanse? In the normal sense of the phrase, spring cleaning is traditionally about deep cleaning your home at the beginning of spring. We want to start spring off in a healthy way by taking a short break from certain foods and reseting the cravings while developing positive habits. Over the course of 3-weeks Ugne and Marcie will host a weekly Zoom talks to discuss different topics concerning the elimination diet. There will also be a private Facebook group for step-by-step support with recipes, detox information, and smoothie contests and more…

This year our Spring Cleanse is based on the Elimination Diet which works by removing certain foods from the diet that may be causing inflammation, weight gain or even depression. The goal of the diet is to remove these common food while feeding the body with nutrient dense foods to improve function. With a slow reintroduction of those common food groups this diet may provide you with clarity to identify what foods may be causing your inflammation and symptoms.
