Lavender Farm Wellness to lead Meditation for 1111 Nantucket
Lavender Farm Wellness Center and its chief bodyworker and meditation guru, Brandon Jellison, are honored to lead a 1-hour Introduction to Meditation session at 1111 Nantucket’s April 2019 Lifestyle Retreat on Saturday, April 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Introduction to Meditation session will include the following practices:
Mindfulness Meditation - What is mindfulness vs meditation and why are they helpful?
Walking Meditation - Adapting the mindfulness of sitting meditation practice to walking
Meditation Practice - Instruction followed by a practice session

Brandon Jellison is a Wellness Concierge at Lavender Farm Wellness Center on Nantucket, where he curates massage therapy and wellness retreats with his clients.
In 1999, Brandon began practicing meditation while attending Naropa University, a Buddhist University in Boulder Colorado. In 2010, Brandon became an authorized Shambhala Buddhist Meditation Instructor and began core curriculum at Shambhala centers. He also developed wellness related workshops on “Running Meditation” and “Being Truly Healthy” to compliment with expertise in health coaching and massage therapy.
Each year, Brandon takes a couple of weeks to immerse in remote meditation retreats in addition to his regular home meditation practice. Several years ago, Brandon travelled to Tibet for a month as an informal pilgrimage to the monastery of his teacher’s father, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, to better understand the roots of the lineage.
