Our “Lola’s Joint Cream” is a mother-son collaborative project between Brandon and his mother who goes by Lola to her grandkids. At home we call this Lola’s Cream because she grows and produces the cream and then has it triple tested for purity. Our Joint Cream (pun intended) started as a class project in business school on the eve of legalization (US Farm Bill of 2018) to help a family friend manage hand tremor symptoms as part of their Multiple Sclerosis condition. This friend was very health conscious and would not consider smoking despite the benefits.
Through the class project we surveyed hundreds of people and we were pleased to learn how receptive people were to the idea and surprised by how many seniors were already using it as a part of their pain management plans. Lola has arthritis in her hands and so do many of her friends, they report a mild to moderate decrease in pain for about four hours with they use the Lola’s Joint Cream.
Lola has an amazing green thumb and is also a beekeeper up in Maine. She also grows the arnica which are the two primary medicinal plants. She also incorporates beeswax into the cream from her bee hives. Everything is grown and made in small batches on the family farm.
